Oregon may vote on $13.50 wage

SALEM, Ore. (AP) — A group of unions and other liberal groups says it has filed paperwork for a ballot measure that would increase the statewide minimum wage to $13.50 per hour and allow local governments to raise it even higher.

The Raise the Wage Coalition announced the filing on Monday. The group says it hopes the Legislature will raise the minimum wage next year but it will be ready to go directly to voters if lawmakers don't act.
