Woodland Park Zoo

Grajal

Woodland Park Zoo has named Alejandro Grajal, an executive at Chicago's Brookfield Zoo, president and CEO. He starts May 16. Grajal, a native of Venezuela, is senior vice president for conservation, education and training at Brookfield, and has worked at National Audubon Society and the Wildlife Conservation Society. At Brookfield he oversees 15 field programs in North America, Latin America and Africa, and manages the zoo's partnerships. He has worked on conservation programs with U.S. AID, Global Environmental Fund, the World Bank and the European Union.
