Kent City Council appointed Kim Komoto as city clerk. Komoto succeeds Ronald Moore, who resigned in June. Komoto has been a legal analyst for Kent City Attorney's office since 2010 and has years of experience in public records law and compliance. She originally joined the city as a legal secretary in 2008. The city clerk supports the legislative process, provides access to official records, preserves city history, and works with other departments.
