U.S. Coast Guard

The Coast Guard sector in Juneau said Capt. Phillip Thorne has taken over command of the sector after Capt. Shannan Greene relinquished the position. He has served in Alaska for 10 years and has been the Seventeenth District Chief of Response since 2016, overseeing search and rescue, ports and waterways security missions.
