SkillUp Washington

The National Fund has given a $300,000 grant, with support from Walmart Giving, to SkillUp Washington, a workforce funder collaborative at the Seattle Foundation. The grant will help expand careers in retail. SkillUp Washington also is launching the Center for Onboarding and Advancement in Retail (COAR) to focus on opportunities for youth, immigrants and refugees in and around Westfield-Southcenter Mall. COAR's work will be led by Port Jobs, a nonprofit workforce development intermediary.
