Washington Winegrowers Association honored several people at its annual convention and trade show in Kennewick. Jim McFerran, director of viticulture for Wyckoff Farms and Coventry Vale Winery, received the Erick Hanson Memorial Winegrape Grower of the Year Award; Rick Hamman, retired viticulture manager for Hogue Ranches, received the Industry Service Award; Ted Baseler, former president and CEO of Ste. Michelle Wine Estates, received the Lifetime Achievement Award; and Charlie Hoppes, owner and winemaker of Fidelitas, won the Grand Vin Award.
