Hersey

Seattle Public Schools appointed Brandon Hersey as board director of District VII, which encompasses Southeast Seattle. Hersey replaces Betty Patu, who retired over the summer before her term was to expire in 2021. Hersey will serve on the board for the remainder of the term and may run for the position in the 2021 election. The school board made the appointment because the vacancy occurred outside the regular election cycle.
