Everett-based conglomerate Fortive announced it will spin off a new industrial company later this year called Vontier Corp. that will focus on transportation and mobility. Vontier initially will consist of retail and commercial fueling, fleet management and professional tool brands that include Gilbarco Veeder-Root, Matco Tools and Teletrac Navman. Mark D. Morelli will be president and CEO of Vontier, which will be headquartered in Raleigh, North Carolina, and employ about 8,400 people worldwide.
