Seattle Art Museum

Dr. Chiyo Ishikawa, Seattle Art Museum deputy director of art and curator of European painting and sculpture, will retire this summer. Ishikawa joined the museum in 1990 as a half-time assistant curator of European painting and became a full-time employee in 1993. She was promoted in 2005 to deputy director of art. She also is an adjunct professor in the School of Art History at the University of Washington. SAM is searching for a replacement.
