Seattle-based startup Glowforge, a maker of 3D laser printers that cut and etch various materials, is mobilizing tens of thousands of its customers across the country to make 1 million free ear savers for health care and other essential workers. Ear savers are small, easy-to-print adapters that improve the fit of surgical and N95 masks, making them more comfortable for long-term wear. Owners of 3D printing machines can sign up to help at Glowforge.com.
