City of Tacoma

The city of Tacoma opened its Rental Assistance Fund through the Greater Tacoma Community Foundation. Donations can be made to increase the amount of funding available for people who need rental housing assistance because of COVID-19 impacts. The city in April launched the program with $1.2 million from the Housing Trust Fund. It provides a one-time payment of up to $1,000 directly to landlords.
