Benaroya Research Institute at Virginia Mason hired Dr. Carmen Mikacenic as an associate member in the Center for Translational Immunology. Mikacenic's research involves interstitial lung disease and explores aspects of acute respiratory distress syndrome. She also is a pulmonary and critical care physician, and is seeing patients at Virginia Mason Medical Center.
