Outstanding Legislator Award

The Washington Association of Sewer & Water Districts has recognized Washington State Representative Joe Fitzgibbon as an Outstanding Legislator for 2020. Fitzgibbon, as lead sponsor of HB 2565, championed a bill passing requirements for labeling disposable wipes products. Founded in 1995, the Washington Association of Sewer & Water Districts represents the state's special purpose sewer and water districts. These districts provide services to 25% of the citizens of Washington. There are 176 special purpose sewer and water districts in the state.
