QFC to close two Seattle stores

SEATTLE — Quality Food Centers (QFC) is closing two stores in Seattle, including the Capitol Hill store at 416 15th Ave. E., and the Wedgwood store at 8400 35th Ave. N.E.

The company says the decision was accelerated by a new city of Seattle mandate that requires employers to provide extra pay for some frontline workers.
