DSHS pays $30M for vacated Tukwila mental health hospital

DSHS bought the former Cascade Behavioral Health hospital in Tukwila. The facility will add about 100 beds to the state’s behavioral health system.

The state Department of Social and Health Services has finalized an agreement to lease and purchase the former Cascade Behavioral Health hospital at 12844 Military Road S. in Tukwila, according to a news release from Gov. Jay Inslee.
