Cyemptive Technologies, a provider of preemptive cybersecurity solutions for business and government, named retired U.S. Navy Commander Vince Dova as vice president of security. Dova is the former branch chief for Cyber Policy and Capabilities at the Joint Chiefs of Staff, where he advised on cyber-related matters such as military network defense and cybersecurity for the Defense Industrial Base and Defense Critical Infrastructure. At Cyemptive, Dova is responsible for the security of intellectual property and client data, developing organizational and technical governance to enable the secure delivery of cybersecurity solutions to its customer base, and planning security-relevant training/certification for company and client workforces. A 20-year veteran of the Navy, Dova earned his wings as a helicopter pilot and was deployed all over the world. He taught flight school, investigated aviation mishaps, managed air defense for a carrier strike group in the Gulf and earned a master's degree in computer network operations. Cyemptive is headquartered in Snohomish.
