The 7-Eleven has a one-of-a-kind aesthetic designed to align with Tehaleh’s architectural standards.

The development comprises a convenience store and a separate fueling canopy.

A new 7-Eleven store and gas station opened last week at 19011 141st St. Ct. E. in Newland Real Estate Group's master-planned Tehaleh community in Pierce County.

The development consists of a 4,872-square-foot convenience store and an approximately 1,800-square-foot canopy covering three fuel islands. It was designed by Lynnwood-based PM Design Group, and built by Tacoma-based Saybr Contractors.

The project team also included Barghausen Consulting Engineers, which provided civil engineering, land use planning, landscape architecture and energy services. Construction began in October 2022. The grand opening was Sept. 7.

In addition to a host of convenience items, the new store has Amazon storage lockers and offers home delivery and localized specialties unique to the community. According to Barghausen, the store has a one-of-a-kind design with unique architectural facades that align with the Tehaleh community's architectural standards. Barghausen said it collaborated with the Tehaleh architectural review committee to obtain approvals for the building, landscape and site design.

7-Eleven is the first business and building to open at Tehaleh's Canyon View Village Center. That 9-acre retail/dining village is being developed by Cleveland-based Visconsi Companies, which purchased the land from Newland in June 2022 at a cost of $3 million.

At full build-out, Canyon View Village is anticipated to bring approximately 65,000 square feet of commercial and retail space to Tehaleh, located across two parcels on either side of Canyon View Boulevard, north of Cascadia Boulevard East. The 7-Eleven occupies an approximately 1-acre site.

Other confirmed tenants for Canyon View Village are a Wendy's and a dental office for Ossman Harding Dental. Visconsi's website says those businesses are “coming soon.” They are anticipated to be joined by a coffee shop, full-service restaurants, a daycare, medical center and beauty businesses. Visconsi currently lists six lots available at Canyon View Village for either sale, ground lease, or build-to-suit.

Tehaleh is a 4,700-acre master-planned community near Bonney Lake. It is home to 8,700 people, two elementary schools, 14 parks, over 30 miles of trails and 1,800 acres of open space.
