International Workplace Group’s new Issaquah coworking center on Gilman Boulevard is open in the Liberty Park 1 office building, operating under the company’s HQ brand.

As Washington employers juggle a mix of return-to-office and work-from-home arrangements, International Workplace Group, the parent company of branded flexible workspaces including Spaces, Signature, Regus, and HQ, announced this week it is adding five locations across the state.

IWG's newest flexible workspaces will be in Bainbridge Island, Bremerton, Burien, Issaquah and Spokane Valley, bringing its statewide total to 36.

These Washington additions follow partnership agreements with their building owners who invest in the IWG platform to create a branded, flexible workspace in their buildings. The company's technology platform helps building owners with sales and marketing, and its design service allows companies to tailor spaces to their requirements.

The Issaquah coworking space at 371 N.E. Gilman Blvd. is already open in the Liberty Park 1 office building, operating under IWG's HQ brand. The Burien coworking location at 15111 8th Ave S.W. is scheduled to open later this year, also under the HQ brand. Slated to open in the first quarter of 2025: a Bainbridge Island location at 100 Ravine Lane and a Bremerton location at 400 Warren Ave., both operating under the Regus brand. The Spokane Valley location at 12709 E. Mirabeau Parkway is scheduled to open in the second quarter of 2025, and will also be operating under IWG's Regus brand.

The new Issaquah HQ location and the other four new Washington locations include coworking spaces, private offices, meeting rooms and creative spaces.

All of the new locations include coworking spaces, private offices, meeting rooms and creative spaces. IWG said they will include space for established firms and start-ups across a range of industries, including aerospace, the creative economy, clean technology information and communications technology.

“Our openings in Washington come at a time when more and more companies are discovering that flexible working boosts employee happiness and satisfaction while helping the environment,” IWG's CEO, Mark Dixon, said in a release. “Our workplace model is also proven to increase productivity, and allows for a business to scale up or down at significantly reduced costs.”

IWG, started in Brussels in 1989 and now headquartered in Switzerland, said it had signed 465 new locations globally in the first half of 2024, including adding 200 centers to its U.S. network. The company has more than 1,500 centers in the U.S. and more than 4,000 globally, and counts 83% of Fortune 500 companies among its customer base.
