Landmarked Mama's can be demolished

The one-story brick building housed Mama’s Mexican Kitchen from 1974 until 2016. It has sat vacant for five years.

Earlier this week, the DJC reported that the city of Seattle's Landmarks Preservation Board (LPB) would meet Wednesday to consider an emergency petition to demolish what is commonly known as the Mama's Mexican Kitchen building at 2234 Second Ave. in Belltown.
