FORMA Construction announced the retirement of Drew Phillips, director of business development, after a career spanning several decades. As a fifth-generation Olympia contractor, Phillips career has taken him through a wide range of roles, including laborer, carpenter, project manager, estimator, and principal. During his tenure at FORMA, Phillips was instrumental in delivering numerous high-profile projects, including over five major facilities at Saint Martin's University. Among these is the Father Bede Ernsdorff Center for the Department of Natural Sciences. He also led the award-winning Olympia Regional Learning Academy and oversaw the recent refresh of the Washington Center for the Performing Arts. Beyond his professional achievements, Phillips has been active in the broader Thurston County community. In 2019, Phillips was awarded the Distinguished Leader Award from Leadership Thurston County. To celebrate his career, a retirement party will be held 4-7 p.m. on Nov. 21 at the Heritage Room in Olympia.
