Report identifies challenges, strategies in state-funded affordable housing projects

The Washington State Department of Commerce and Washington State Housing Finance Commission released earlier this month a final report on efforts to stabilize rents in state-funded affordable housing.

The final report, required by the state Legislature, highlights ongoing challenges identified in an interim report, released in 2023, and offers draft strategies to mitigate the rent burden for people in state-funded affordable housing.
