Aviation work group meets this week

TUMWATER — The Commercial Aviation Work Group is scheduled to hold its first public meeting of 2025 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday at the Capital Event Center at 6005 Tyee Dr. S.W. in Tumwater, and online via Zoom.

The work group, created last year by the state Legislature, evaluates Washington's long-range commercial aviation and transportation needs, “including alternatives for additional aviation capacity and expanding the use of existing airports and multimodal opportunities,” according to a press release from the group.
