Rustin Hall, a principal at Spokane firm ALSC Architects, will retire on June 30 after 32 years at the firm.
After graduating from Washington State University, Hall began practicing architecture in 1985 in Seattle before moving to Spokane with his family and joining ALSC Architects in 1993.
He was promoted to principal in 2000 and CEO in 2008. Notable projects developed under his leadership include the One Spokane Stadium, WSU Martin Stadium Expansion, WSU Wine Science Center, Fairchild AFB Fitness Center, Three Rivers Convention Center, Yakima Convention Center Expansion, Wenatchee Convention Center Expansion, SFCC Fine and Applied Arts School, YMCAs in Spokane, Yakima and Wenatchee, and numerous STCU branches throughout the region.

In addition to his professional career, Hall has carried on an ALSC legacy of supporting community organizations and has served on numerous corporate boards and commissions. He chaired the Valley Chamber of Commerce Board, the BSA of the Inland NW board and the Spokane Sports Board. He also served 15 years on the YMCA of the Inland Northwest Corporate Board and has provided key support for the Central Valley School District bond campaigns.
Hall began his transition toward retirement in 2022 when he stepped down as CEO after 14 years to concentrate on mentoring and fostering the growth of future leaders within ALSC Architects.
“Rustin Hall has been an integral part of ALSC Architects and a guiding force behind our most ambitious projects,” Indy Dehal, the firm's current CEO, commented in a press release. “His expertise and dedication have been invaluable to our success and growth, and his commitment to building community has been inspiring. While we will miss his daily presence, we are thrilled for him as he enters this new chapter of life.”
Reflecting on his career, Hall shared, “Working at ALSC Architects has been an incredibly rewarding experience. The special bond I have experienced with our staff, clients and community leaders has been an absolute blessing. I am proud of all we have accomplished, and excited to see how the next generation of leaders will shape our future work and our community.”
