Fred Simmons of IMCO Construction has earned the Design-Build Institute of America's Design-Build Professional certification, the industry's highest designation, recognizing him as a leader in design-build delivery. Simmons was the design-build manager on Idaho's first completed progressive design-build project, the Lewiston Water Treatment Plant Retrofit. To earn this designation, he has demonstrated design-build project leadership experience and completed course work and testing, proving his knowledge of the Design-Build Done Right principles. An operations manager at IMCO Construction, Simmons has led some of IMCO's most complex projects in the water/wastewater, hydroelectric, and industrial markets. He recently managed construction of Washington state's first hydrogen production and fueling facility for Douglas County and the $61 million Priest Rapids Right Embankment Improvement Project for Grant County PUD. DBIA Certification is the nation's only measurable standard of an individual's knowledge of the Design-Build Done Right principles. By completing these requirements, which touch on all aspects of design-build, candidates earn the right to display “DBIA” after their names, identifying them as experienced design-build professionals. IMCO Construction' s expertise spans water and wastewater management, energy, hydroelectric retrofit, transportation, and industrial infrastructure projects for public and private clients throughout the western United States.
