Ballard gets a cake vending machine

SEATTLE — If you find yourself in Northwest Ballard and fancy a sweet treat, you can now head to a new micro-bakery on wheels to satisfy the craving. The mini bakery comes from Butter Half Cakes and is located at 8039 30th Ave. N.W., in front of a private residence.

It works like a cake vending machine. Hungry passersby scan a QR code, choose from a curated menu of small cakes and slices, and then a mini fridge pops open for you to grab your selection.
