Otis

Mutual of Enumclaw, a Washington-based regional carrier of personal, business and farm and ranch insurance, has hired insurance industry veteran Bob Otis as its new president and CEO. Otis joins Mutual of Enumclaw with more than 30 years of executive level experience in property and casualty insurance, with firms including Allstate, USAA, and National Lloyds. Most recently, he was president of Kemper Corporation's Personal Insurance business unit. Otis began his career as an underwriter with Safeco and holds the Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter designation. He earned a BA from the University of Dayton, and an MBA from Xavier University. Otis has successfully led organizations during periods of repositioning and growth. He has deep experience in both agency and direct distribution channels, while leading large national product lines as well as strong regional and niche carriers. Mutual of Enumclaw currently operates in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Utah, Arizona, Wyoming and Montana.
