Seattle scores a PWHL hockey team

SEATTLE — Seattle is officially getting a professional women's hockey team. The Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL) announced its expansion to the Emerald City last week.

The new team is set to begin play in the 2025-26 season. It will play its home games at Climate Pledge Arena and train at the Kraken Community Iceplex.
