OLYMPIA — The state Parks and Recreation Commission is moving its headquarters out of Tumwater beginning June 2 to collocate with the Department of Ecology at its building in Lacey at 300 Desmond Drive S.E.
The new location has appointment and walk-in services, including Discover Pass sales, discount pass applications, and trip planning and recommendations. A free visitor parking lot is about 100 yards away from the building entrance. The paths are wheelchair accessible.
The agency expects its Information Center at 1111 S.W. Israel Road in Tumwater to remain operational to the public until May 30. Discover Passes can also be purchased in-person at many local state parks and at licensed vendors, or online at http://www.discoverpass.wa.gov.
