Bellissima! Alaska to offer Rome route

SEATTLE — For the first time in the carrier's history, Alaska Airlines is adding a new nonstop service from the Emerald City to Rome, Italy.

The route is expected to debut this fall and will be served on a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner.
