‘Accessible crossing for everyone' opens in Vancouver

Construction began in 2024 on the crossing over state Route 500 near the intersection where Northeast Stapleton Road meets 54th Street.

Vancouver's new $8.7 million pedestrian and bike bridge connecting Northeast Stapleton Road and 54th Street over state Route 500 officially opened last Monday, restoring a direct, accessible connection over the highway.
