The 5th Avenue Theatre Company's Executive Director Bill Berry announced the appointment of Ariel Gomez Bradler as managing director. Gomez Bradler will serve as second in command of The 5th, overseeing business operations, administrative staff, financial management and strengthening community alliances and partnerships. Gomez Bradler will lead all aspects of The 5th's operations, supervising key department functions, implementing financial principles and practices, and helping shape The 5th's community and cultural engagement and belonging efforts. Berry continues his role as executive director, guiding the vision and artistic programming, partnering with the board, executive, and governance members on long-term sustainability practices, and leading The 5th's special funding campaign to raise funds above and beyond operations to stabilize the theatre and provide capitalization assurance. Gomez Bradler joined The 5th in 2022 and in three years has been promoted twice with increased responsibility and oversight. In 2024 she was promoted to senior director of culture and operations. She also served on the negotiation team for the Seattle Theatre Group Alliance, and is The 5th's lead in creating the operating agreement. Prior to joining The 5th, Gomez Bradler served as the director of finance and operations at Taproot Theatre. She previously held leadership positions at Seattle Children's Theatre and Theatre Puget Sound. Gomez Bradler earned Bachelor of Arts in Directing from the University of Colorado at Denver and spent two seasons as an associate company member of Curious Theatre Company. The 5th Avenue Theatre Company's 2024/25 Season concludes with “After Midnight,” which runs Aug. 5 to 24.
