WSF expands ferry service for San Juans

SEATTLE — For the first time in over two decades, the fall Washington State Ferry schedule for the Anacortes/San Juan Islands route will stay in place through winter and spring, providing increased service to and from island communities.

The route will now have 144 sailings a week, compared to 130 last winter and 116 in the winters before that. The new increased “off-peak” season stems from community input and is funded by a boost last session from the state Legislature.
