BECU to join with SAFE Credit Union

TUKWILA — BECU has signed an agreement to combine with Sacramento-based SAFE Credit Union, the credit unions announced yesterday.

Once completed, the combined credit union will serve 1.8 million members, with more than 80 locations under BECU's charter. Together, they will have more than $33 billion in assets, making it the fourth-largest credit union by asset size in the United States.
