Verizon is cutting over 13,000 jobs

NEW YORK (AP) — Verizon is laying off over 13,000 employees as part of a major company reorientation.

The cuts began on Thursday, according to a memo from CEO Dan Schulman. He says Verizon's current cost structure limits investment, especially in customer experiences.
