KC Royals face tough stadium decision

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — The Chiefs are moving to a new $3 billion stadium in Kansas, leaving their Missouri home. Now, attention is on the Royals, who face a similar decision.

The MLB team's lease at Kauffman Stadium ends in January 2031. Royals owner John Sherman prefers a downtown ballpark, but plans have faced political and community hurdles.
