Nguyen to head Seattle Chamber

SEATTLE — The Seattle Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce announced this week the appointment of Joe Nguyen as its new president and chief executive officer.

Nguyen arrives at the chamber after serving since January as director of the state Department of Commerce. Prior to Gov. Bob Ferguson appointing him to head Commerce, Nguyen served in the Washington State Senate for six years, representing the 34th legislative district. His private sector experience includes leadership roles at Microsoft and Expedia.
