SEATTLE — Compass Housing Alliance and Lutheran Community Services Northwest (LCSNW) have merged.
Both organizations were established in the Puget Sound area in the early 1920s.
Compass provides affordable housing, emergency services, and enhanced emergency shelters. LCSNW offers a variety of social services including behavioral health, family wellness, immigrant and refugee services, aging and independent living, community support, and housing services.
Compass is now the new Housing Division of LCSNW and brings more than 750 affordable housing units, over 200 enhanced shelter beds, and a mix of emergency services into the LCSNW portfolio.
The merger follows years of affiliation and partnership. It was finalized on Jan. 1.
