China set to ban hidden door handles

HONG KONG (AP) — China has moved to ban hidden door handles on cars, commonly seen on Tesla vehicles, starting next year.

The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology said all car doors must have a mechanical release function, except for the tailgate, under the new rules.
