New multi-tenant buildings are filling up at the port’s ongoing $1 billion Waterfront Place redevelopment.

Business is booming at the Port of Everett following a slew of culinary openings since December — with more to come this spring.

The new dining experiences include a seafood restaurant and market, a family-friendly public house and a frozen yogurt shop.

The eateries are split across two new waterside buildings in the Fisherman's Harbor sector of Waterfront Place in an area the port has dubbed “restaurant row.” The buildings were designed by BCRA and built by Faber Construction. Ground was broken in summer 2024.

The latest business to open in the new buildings is Tapped Public House which began welcoming patrons March 2. Tapped offers a curated menu of Pacific Northwest-inspired dishes prepared in a scratch kitchen paired with craft beer, cider, wine and other beverages.

The family-friendly public house occupies the second floor of a 12,000-square-foot building. It offers both interior and exterior dining spaces and boasts a large open-air rooftop deck overlooking the water. BCRA designed the property with floor-to-ceiling windows to provide year-round waterfront sightlines, and a roll-up garage door was added to further open the space to the outside in warmer months.

Tapped's interior design has a maritime theme, anchored by a large mural of an octopus. The Everett location is the business's fourth. Other locations are on Camano Island and in Mill Creek and Mukilteo.

Rustic Cork Wine Bar was the first business to open in the new buildings.

Additional tenants in the building are Rustic Cork Wine Bar, which opened in December, and frozen yogurt spot Menchies at the Marina, slated to open Friday with a community ribbon cutting and opening event. That will begin at 11:30 a.m. at 1420 Seiner Drive, Suite 103.

Rustic Cork was the first business to open in the building. Its offerings include wine flights from the Columbia and Yakima valleys, on-tap local craft beers and ciders, and sharable plates. Rustic Cork's space includes a rooftop bar — with panoramic views of the Port of Everett Marina, Olympic Mountains, and Possession Sound — and a 1,000-square-foot room for private events.

The port is looking for a breakfast and brunch cafe to take over the last remaining spot in the building.

The second new building at Fisherman's Harbor is 6,000 square feet and has two tenant spaces. Seafood restaurant and market The Net Sheds opened there in December. The restaurant occupies 2,700 square feet of interior space plus an outdoor dining patio along Seiner Wharf, overlooking a commercial fishing dock. Mexican spot Marina Azul Cocina & Cantina is planning to open in the building in early spring.

The new buildings cost $15.2 million. They join another 6,000-square-foot “restaurant row” property that is home to dim sum fusion restaurant Fisherman Jack's and South Fork Baking Company. Those businesses opened in 2023. The building was designed by Cushing Terrell and built by Kassel & Associates.

Fisherman's Harbor also includes Hotel Indigo and two midrise apartment buildings and is an early phase of the port's massive $1 billion Waterfront Place project — a 65-acre revitalization of Everett's west waterfront involving multiple phases and developers.
