Washington State Ferries sail-ebrates three-quarters of a century

The 202-vehicle M/V Wenatchee, seen here in February at Colman Dock, is the largest passenger ferry in the nation to be electrified.

Commemorative flags are flying atop the Space Needle and ferries, and special lighting and signage adorns the Great Wheel and the state Route 520 floating bridge, casting off celebrations as Washington State Ferries marks 75 years transporting riders across our state's many marine highways.
