Tacoma weighs $20 minimum wage

TACOMA — Tacoma Deputy Mayor Joe Bushnell is asking residents to weigh in on a proposal to raise the city's minimum wage to $20 an hour, following a presentation Tuesday to the city council's Economic Development Committee.

Bushnell said the discussion is driven by concerns about the cost of living in the city, and the need for a wage standard that better reflects local economic realities.
