State offers help with wildfire claims

SPOKANE — The state Office of the Insurance Commissioner is launching a series of monthly workshops in Spokane to help residents navigate the insurance claims process following recent wildfires in the region.

Insurance claim specialists from Commissioner Patty Kuderer's office will provide information about what homeowners and vehicle owners can expect during the claims process, share recovery best practices and answer questions from affected residents. Kuderer said the workshops are intended to help wildfire survivors through each stage of recovery, from filing an initial claim to rebuilding.
