SEATTLE — The Seattle Public Library is transitioning to a new system to manage its collections, circulation and patron accounts, and said people should expect service disruptions.
The current integrated library system, Horizon, has been in use for over 20 years and is no longer supported by SPL's vendor, Clarivate. SPL is upgrading to Clarivate's newer Polaris system that it says will be more reliable, secure and efficient.
