Starbucks laying off 224 from local HQ

SEATTLE — Starbucks will lay off 224 employees from its Seattle headquarters, according to a notice filed with Washington state's Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) database.

The layoffs are tied to the company's corporate restructuring efforts and its ongoing expansion into Nashville, Tennessee.
