Wilson's executive order aims to boost small and mid-size businesses

The mayor has directed the city to improve permitting processes to make it easier to open, operate and grow businesses in Seattle.

Seattle Mayor Katie Wilson signed an executive order Wednesday in an effort to expand opportunities for small and mid-sized businesses here — including improving permitting pathways to make it easier for them to open, operate and grow.
