Mixed forecast for state revenues

OLYMPIA — Washington's latest revenue forecast leaves the state's overall budget picture largely unchanged, with lower revenues expected in the near term before collections improve in later years.

The Washington State Economic and Revenue Forecast Council said Friday that the near-term decline is expected to worsen the projected deficit in fiscal year 2028.
