Tacoma to evaluate development rules

TACOMA — The city of Tacoma has received a $70,000 grant from the state Department of Commerce to support an independent audit of its existing residential development regulations.

The project will result in a prioritized set of recommended changes to city code and permitting procedures aimed at shortening permitting approval times, along with a roadmap to implementing those changes.
