County to appoint inspector general

SEATTLE — The King County Council is set to vote today on the appointment of the county's first inspector general, which will lead the newly established Inspector General Division within the Office of Public Complaints.

The county established the new office to strengthen oversight and independently investigate complaints, such as misconduct and misuse of public funds.
