Wilson names economic task force

SEATTLE — Yesterday, Seattle Mayor Katie Wilson announced the members of a new task force aimed at strengthening and diversifying the city's economy.

The Resilient Seattle Economy Task Force will identify ways the city can remove barriers to growth, support businesses and expand economic opportunities for workers, entrepreneurs and young people. The group will build on findings from the city's “Seawall: Building a Resilient Seattle Economy” report. Its work will focus on issues including downtown revitalization, collaboration among industries, attracting and retaining businesses, and improving the process of opening and operating a business in Seattle.
