Meet Solette, Seattle’s newest and largest rooftop bar

Solette has seating for 225 guests.

South Lake Union has a new rooftop bar and restaurant. Solette opened on the 13th level of Onni Group's Level Hotel & Furnished Suites at 110 Boren Ave. N. on Sept. 15.

The 6,500-square-foot venue seats 225 guests, making it the largest rooftop dining destination in the city. Seating is divided between indoor and outdoor areas. The interior space features floor-to-ceiling windows, plus a retractable roof.

The menu is described as “globally influenced” and includes signature sushi rolls alongside high-quality steaks. There is also a focus on local produce. The cocktail menu is expansive, and the wine list is centered on Washington vintners.

Solette is an Onni Group concept. The developer also has a Solette restaurant and bar at its The Bell office building in Chicago's financial district. That opened last year.

The bar offers an expansive cocktail menu.

Onni typically manages construction of its buildings and concepts in house, and acts as its own general contractor through its construction arm Onni Contracting.

The Level Hotel opened in 2022 with a host of amenities including three swimming pools, two hot tubs, a games room, two personal karaoke rooms, and a sprawling fitness center. Solette Seattle is adjacent to one of the pool decks and offers views of the Space Needle and Puget Sound.

The hotel is part of the bigger Onni at South Lake Union project that also includes two 41-story residential towers.

Solette joins a raft of rooftop eateries that have opened in the city in the past few years. Those include SLU's Altitude Sky Lounge at the top of the Astra Hotel, which opened in 2022, and Firn at the Populus Seattle hotel in Pioneer Square, which debuted in 2025.

Business hours are 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Monday through Thursday and on Sundays, and 3 p.m. to 12 a.m. Fridays and Saturdays. Those days also feature DJ's and live music.
